As long as the ride is confirmed, no problem
If you are a rider, as long as the driver confirmed the trip and he or she is able to find you calling or texting you, there is no problem at all. It is the Driver's App that tracks the GPS, route and duration traveled, etc. The driver can take you to your destination and propery fare will be charged to your credit card on file.
If you are a driver, shame on you for not having a charger!! If your phone dies during a trip, you may not get credit for the trip. However, in this case you can open a support ticket with Uber, and they should be able to connect the issue.
