I live in a rural part of Northwestern Hartford CT. People have come to know I do airport runs and want me to pick them up at 4:00 am because they fear there may be no drivers in the area when they need one. Does anyone have a good system of doing this? This morning I turned on my app in the rider's driveway and they turned on their app and I got a different rider and they got no driver!

If you were to preschedule a Lyft ride (can do up to 7 days in advance) that ride with pickup / destination and approximate income for the driver will show up on Lyft (Scheduled rides) -job board that many Lyft drivers monitor like hawks. A lucrative ride to the airport that can put $40.00 - $50.00 in driver's pocket for completing a ride in an hour or so will be gobbled up in seconds by eager drivers. Yhis is easy money and no traffic an dless gas used.
Wow, I am so surprised they didnt match you up. How far away was the other rider who was requesting a ride?
You obviously knew the rider. Why rely on Uber and pay them 25+%!!! Just accept cash! You have good thing going.
No idea why you guys didn’t show up on each other’s app. Though that could be for multiple reasons.
Yep, this is what I would do, just ask for cash.
It might get a little sticky with insurance but for one off cases like this I would not rely on the Uber app.
