Can we make a consenus on whether or not we are tipping our Uber drivers? It seems like everywhere I look someone has a strong opinion on this subject and I just want to know if I should be feeling guilty or not when I leave my Uber without handing over a couple dollars...
So are we tipping or not?!

All about the expectations. Uber Black. Not so much known for that. it's always been known as your private driver. It's about the convenience and class
UberX is more for the commonfolk. Frendly interactions, and the expectations are starting to build, perhaps originally set by Lyft, that you are supposed to tip.
I personally never feel the need to tip my Uber driver, especially when they have signs hanging up that say "tips welcome".. I find that obnoxious.
Now, I do think they deserve to get paid for tip, but out of Uber's pocket, not mine.

the whole frickin' point is the convenience, and NOT having a wallet. Why tip?
The Lyft app I hear has the tipping option. I guess in that case, it is still convenient...?
I have never tipped. I never knew that was even a dilemma. I used to make sure to tip the taxi drivers but I totally had no idea you are supposed to be (or not be) tipping uber drivers. nutso. learn evrything everyday
