My mom drivers for Uber and has not been able to cash out her earnings for over 11 Days now. When she first called in they told her there was a 48 hour fraud hold on her debit card and she would be able to cash out after the 48 hours, when that didn’t happen she called back in and they told her they “escalated” the situation and she would be paid on 10/1. Again that didn’t happen so she called back and was assured she would be paid today, 10/8. Again nothing was deposited. So she called back in and they were told there is another fraud hold on her account and she would be able to cash out after 48 hours - exactly how it started 11 days ago. She’s called and emailed about this issue and is just given the run around..is there anyone else she can contact? They stated they do not have a fraud department that she’s able to speak with.

Probably have her go to GreenLight hub;
Ansure she has not given her Uber credentials to anyone. There was a scam going around where someone would call the driver acting as if they were Uber rep and collect user name, password, etc then only to chenge the bank account info on the website to their own, or something like that. Uber will never ask you for your user account or password.. The reason I know is becasue I now had to call Uber twice in two weeks as they did not reimburse me for taking a toll road in PA while I was driving pasenegr home
No, she didn’t give her login info to anyone. She updated her debit card as she lost hers but she has spoke with several people at Uber and they told her they would remove the hold within 48 hours and it’s been 11 days now. It’s pretty frustrating when they keep responding with the same generic answers and are not resolving the issue
That is when driving for both Uber and Lyft comes in handy
For sure, and she does both. But she also has $400 sitting on her Uber account for over 11 days now that she has already earned, so being read the same script week after week is not very reassuring that the issue is ever going to be resolved
Keep pestering them by calling and emailing
ask for manger’s name and manager’’s manager’s name and start escalating, do not settle for boiler plate responses.
tell them that by holding your money you are being deprived ability to earn interest therefore when they sort out their internal problems they must repay you with interest
but please do report back when issue is resolved so other drivers can get an idea of what actually caused the delay
Same happen to me I called them irresponsible, and tell them that as soon as I recieved my money I would delete my account, they decided to delete my account but not give me my money! How awesome!
A good technique if you want to get a company's attention is to tweet at them about the situation. That way it is public. A lot of times they will respond.
You should
1) call your card company and explain the situation to them, see what they say.
2) be sure to send an EMAIL to Uber... or go through the site: do it in writing and cut and paste the information into a document and save it.
3) everytime they contact you through email, be sure to cut and paste the previous emails into the document.
4) State that you have done everything you can and that it is now on them and that they need to escalate and fix it immediately.
5) see 3 - try to keep the emails in order as they never send the original in a reply...
Paper trails make a huge difference.
Did you guys ever get this resolved?? Did your Mom get paid because the same thing is happening to me,....
