I joined Uber as a rider and they closed my account for violating terms and conditions before I even used the app.
I asked for the exact reason why and they won't say.
Anybody have any idea why this would happen without even riding in an uber ?

My best guess is that there is already an account created under your phone number. If you do not believe you have created an Uber account before, I would contact Uber to report the issue.
Sounds like they messed up... I have no idea.
