Uber will let you call 911 right from your Uber app!

I guess the new CEO is all about safety. Drivers can call 911 right in the Uber app if they feel they are in an emergency situation. It will automatically enable a location sharing service as well. Interesting concept! https://mashable.com/2018/05/29/uber-safety-911-button/#QsrDQAb2cmq0

    Why wouldn't you just call 911 on your phone as normal? Seems like more of a hassle to find it in the app!

    According to that article the button is on the home screen, so it shouldnt be hard to find / use

    Doesn't this kind of make Uber look like... they're expecting trouble?? I don't know. It just seems kinda weird.

    Well, at least Uber is doing things to help passengers feel more safe, even if it is just a fake cushion.
