WTH! As a parent I was under the impression we are responsible for our children. Did that change? Is there not enough Uber & Lyft horror stories out there? When did people stop taking responsibility for their own actions?

 How many forums, articles, You Tube videos, etc... address this exact issue? How many drivers have voiced their opinions and frustrations? How many drivers have lost time & money? Gas wasted? How many times have drivers notified Lyft and Uber?  

This is Uber & Lyft's fault for not making riders sign up with Valid ID. It's there fault for not enforcing there policies. It should be the 1st question when signing up on the app. Are you 18 yrs of age?

It's the drivers fault for continuing to take these minors. However why should it be our responsibility to card people? 

Ultimately it's the PARENTS FAULT. Dad ordered the Lyft for his minor daughter. Why would you allow your teenaged daughter to take a Lyft or Uber by themself? DO THESE PARENTS NOT READ WHAT SOME OF THESE DRIVERS DO? Have they not heard about sexual assults, kidnapping,  masterbating, dropping a teen off so she can commit suicide? HE PUT HIS TEENAGE DAUGHTER INTO a CAR with a STRANGER ( A MALE, sorry men but it's not the female drivers doing this crap). Why the hell would you think this is ok? Why does this father think its everyone elses fault but his? Is he looking for a lawsuit? Free ride? Five min of fame? If he sues the attorney may want to name him in the lawsuit. He broke Lyft's TOS, he endangered the welfare of a minor, he ordered the Uber. Grown a$$ man needs to take responsibilty for his decision & his daughter  .

There are many fake ID's out there that machines in bars dont always pick up there fake. If its an out if state ID how would the driver know its fake unless its a really bad one?

Of course the article is vague and dont give a lot of details. Maybe some of the male drivers can answer this. Lets say you have no dash cam (not all drivers do)& this teenager just spent their last $10 on Uber or you didnt stop at the local Taco Bell drive thru when they asked. Are you not afraid that this teen may lie and say you did something to them?  Said something or touched them inappropriately? Kids lie, teens lie. I have 4 kids when they were younger & in trouble of course they would lie. Uber and Lyft are going to throw the driver right under the bus saying its in the TOS.  James River ins. & your own ins. company are not going to pay if you get in an accident. I've taken minors on a few occassions not realizing they were minors. We all make mistakes especially when we are just starting. If you know the rider is under 18 you are foolish to take them. Is it worth $10 or $3.50 for consecutive trip bonus. WAIT 5, CANCEL, and DRIVE. Cancel fee better than all the aggravation of taking a minor. SAME with CAR SAFETY SEATS. That will happen soon. Someone will take toddler with no seat and get in accident and driver better hope the toddler dont get ejected through their windshield. Wake Up!!! 

This article just really annoys me because dad is taking no responsibility. Drivers are still picking up minors and kids with no safety seat. When the drivers that cancel these rides (like you should) we have to deal with "the last driver took us or we do it all the time". Think before you take these trips.  Stay safe out there.
