Bringing transparency to the rideshare industry has been a top initiative of RideGuru's since our release. To further this insight and transparency, our RideGuru Calculator lets you calculate a lot more than just the cost of your trip. You can also see how much your rideshare driver is expected to make versus what percent of your fare is going straight to the rideshare corporations. These numbers may shock you, as The Rideshare Guy states, "For an app (Uber) that just ‘connects passengers and riders’, it sure does seem like they take a big cut, and that number is only increasing". Take a look at the below infographic to learn more about Uber driver commission rates and let us know your thoughts!

This is a ridiculous situation! If TNC's don't want to be reasonable with the independent contract drivers who are really co-partners in their

business then its time to pass laws that regulate the contract between independent contract drivers and these companies, making the companies

provide a better base fare price to the drivers that will cover at least a portion of the driver's expenses and use of their automobile per mile plus a

fair portion of the total fares and hourly charges. These crook TNC companies are raking in profits, regulating hours, manipulating mileage and

programming! Above the issue of drivers pay also what should be considered is the company offering stock in the company for drivers, so at least if, they continue driving with TNC companies they at least have something to show for their efforts in case of injury, retirement and time helping

grow the parent TNC! Here is a link for legislation that is driver inspired that I think will help level the playing field. I have been an independent

I have been an independent contractor in the past and my experience was that I was able to semi negotiate my own contract for the particular job

at hand as a consultant which TNC's have all but eliminated so these companies are really praying on what most driver/business owners aren't aware of or don't have any idea that they are being cheated by what's built into the application and hidden from them. This is a great opportunity to own a business, own your own time and earn money while allowing you to spend time with your family, go to school or have a side gig, but its not good to be on the receiving end of being cheated by a business taking advantage of its business partners and the public who uses their service!
