Uber has been paying attention to the rising prices of goods, updating their UberEats app this week with new tools to help you save time and money. Now, you will be able to pay with SNAP/EBT, FSA cards and more! Plus, they added some additional features to help you find items quicker.
SNAP and EBT recipients will be able to use their benefits across UberEats’ extensive local delivery networks. While this new feature won’t be available to 2024, it will be a great step forward to reducing barriers to fresh groceries.
Uber is working with Managed Medicaid and Medicare Advantage in order to begin accepting FSA Cards, Flex Cards, and relevant waiver payments. This program will also be available in 2024
The last update that Uber is launching is their AI-powered conversational shopping experience. Later this year, users will be able to chat with the AI assistant to explore new dishes and cuisines, find deals on popular restaurants, and easily reorder favorite meals. In addition to their AI Assistant, Uber has also added Uber Eats Sales Aisle, a “curated selection of the best ways to save near you”. According to Uber, “The Sales Aisle combines promos and deals into one easy to find space, saving you the hassle of long searches through the app.”
What do you think of these new updates? Will you be using them to help save time and money?
