  Can app developers even retrieve the battery level? Is that part of the development kit? Why would an app ever need that information? This sounds like a conspiracy theory to me.

  Empathy.  That’s what that dude has, and we all need it.
  Seeing the world from another’s perspective is a skill that is super underrated.
  Too many self centered people these days, and, not to get political, I hate how they believe it’s their “freedom” and call it “liberty.”

  This is definitely something Uber itself needs to fix. The finances needs to be straightened out between drivers and the company. Definitely not the riders’ fault

  I think you are right. It is meant to be a side hustle.  However, I don't want to live in a world where every taxi driver is an amateur "side hustling" driver...

  I want skilled professional drivers. Our safety is dependent on them.

   5 years ago in  Today on Uber Support: Driver refused a blind person and a guide dog...and then hits her with a cancellation fee

  Seeing eye dogs or guide dogs are generally Golden Retrievers or Labradors.  They aren't exactly small dogs but at least you know they won't be bigger than that.

  Not many drivers are evil people. However, some dogs do affect us negatively and potentially hit our bottom line. Say having a wet dog in the car or having an allergic customer afterwards can read to negative star ratings.

   5 years ago in  RIDERS BEWARE!!! Make sure you know you are getting in the correct car. Please read article.

  I assume this incident is still unfolding.  I wonder if this dude was preying on a poor careless soul, or if the pick-up happened randomly and it turned out horribly.   I mean, what the heck happened?  If it were so premeditated, why was this done with such mess and seemingly no plans to hide the tracks. (I mean before the clean-up)

  I personally agree with your view but the reality is that there are people who drive as a profession and Uber is a full time gig. They will be hurt by the disruption. 

  It’s like when I used to wait tables at a restaurant, I would see the store owner boost the waitstaff, and as a result the hours were cut drastically despite it not being my fault. Fair?  Sure the owner can do whatever he wants, but it stil affected us negatively and lowered the quality of our lives.
