Taxi driver literally kills an Uber driver [Fox10]
If you ask me, I think this article title is doing itself a disservice. (mine is much cooler) Arrest made … -
How much does it cost from Kissing to Wedding?
I wanted to go from Kissing to Wedding in record time and wanted to know the price. However, your calculator …
To drivers, this is a profession. You approach it seriously. To riders, this is just a routine to get around. You approach it casually and with some humor.
They think it’s victimless and perhaps injects humor into the interactions. (A bit crass looking at your examples, sure.) I don’t think it crosses their mind that this can be a safety issue or slower pick up.
My suspicion is that there is probably a maximum number of scheduled rides Uber allows. or Uber checks the demand for that particular day and starts to accept no more.

I feel like I am teaching an android on how to be a human Dude, just have a regular conversation. You start with something that you can ease into, and you just let it flow from there.
You can start with weather and how busy your day was but those usually don't go anywehere. Ask quesitons like, "Are you from this area?" "Did you grow up here?" or something more specific like, "Do you enjoy driving for Uber?"
I've looked into this once, but there doesn't seem to be a way. I think it's BS. How can they not delete those records. There has to be some privacy law that prevents them from doing that.
Perhaps if you contact Uber, maybe they will accommodate.
I'd hate to be a buzzkill, but taxis have been the de facto transportation option for human trafficking and hookers on the job.
good stuff. taxi drivers need all the help they can get.
Wait, so they are "announcing" that they are shutting down Trucks but still doing Cars? What the heck is this? This isn't news. Stupid news at best.
See, this is the problem with society today. This shouldn't even be a worry. It's not even a question. If you are being attacked or threatened to be killed, you do whatever it takes to get out of the situation without asking "will I get sued?"
You felt threatened. You were being attacked. You were being grabbed. Perhaps "nothing" has happened yet but it's still a fact you felt threatened.
If you end up running over someone, a total stranger, you had no other reason to kill, I am sure the court will understand. I mean, what was your motive? besides getting away? I think it makes sense.
I believe in the court system enough to comfortably put the foot to the pedal and peel off.
Nah. I don't care.
In my state, passengers aren't required to wear seatbelts. Since all Uber users are 18 and over (and those who aren't are under the responsibility of another), I don't need to and don't care to enforce it.
This is a weird thread. Of course drivers can decide where to go. App or not. They are the ones who are driving. They can drive you off a cliff, wrap around a telephone poll, into a swimming pool or into a mouth of a volcano.
Come on, people.Admit it. Your lives in the hands of the drivers'. known fact.
What if it were for extra cash. $100 Benjamin.
I gogled it. It looks like you are unpackaging somethng way naughtier than a taxi sign.
Free meals, free room and board, plenty of exercise, four walls and a roof. Jail isn't as bad as it may be for some.
"Women involved in car crash?" Right a sarcastic one, right? coz it happens all the time?
Don't blame the people. Blame the system. All trying to make a living.
I've never heard of it. I'd like to say it's by vicinity with a sprinkle of rating match up
I thought molested primarily refers to children Harassed or sexually assaulted for adults. I think.
Doesn't this already exist everywhere? Local services are usually readily available. Remember, many elderlies cannot drive and they still have to get to the doctors. Uber minus app is basically just another taxi service. I see a lot of irony in this one.
Also wonder why Uber even bothers to capture this market. Just extending its monopoly, I guess.
