  Actually, isn't this the saving grace for taxi drivers?  Uber with its new technoogy and convenience is creating more demand.  They aren't necessarily taken rides away from taxi drivers..

  They do not.  and what makes you say there are very few sociopath drivers?  Compared to what?  These are people who own cars and have driver licenses.  Given the position of working alone, I bet you the chances of a Uber driver being higher than a regular public is...well...high.

Kalanick seemed to understand that his behavior required some form of contrition. According to a person who was there, he literally got down on his hands and knees and began squirming on the floor. “This is bad,” he muttered. “I’m terrible.”

  Some crazy stuff.  Isn't this what he said when he yelled at the Uber driver?  and hit him or whatever?

   6 years ago in  Thanks Uber. Now some restaurants are trying out surge pricing.

  I was told by my asian (but non-chinese) friend that the chinese area cheap and this is why this happened.   No, I am not racist.  I was just told this.
