  As employees you will see they will control us. Tell us when we can and can't work. Tell us where to work. We'll each have a boss. Do you want a boss? Do you want to have to explain yourself to the midwest regional driver manager when you don't show up for work one day?

  The grass is always greener... Something needs to change but AB5 is not the answer.

  At this point none of this matters. Both companies are public. The only thing that matters is profit from now on. This issue will only matter as far as it affects profit. That's just a simple PR issue. They'll work around it.

  Women who say they experienced sexual harassment in a Lyft describe an interaction that left them feeling unheard by a faceless entity when they complained to the company of situations that made them feel uncomfortable or even in danger.

  The women said their complaints were initially routed to a chat app — powered by artificial intelligence and not a real human. To find the safety hotline number, customers had to exit the app and manually search for the hotline number.

  Jeesh. That's terrible.

  Amazon makes most of their money on AWS. That is cloud computing services. And they sell a metric butt ton of products. I don't know what "The Amazon of Transportation" means. Will they be profitable ever? Who knows. Maybe if they get into a different game, like amazon did with AWS. Ridesharing industry itself is cutthroat.
