Guilty of assault? Wanna drive for Uber? No problem, as long as it was eight years ago...
Is it just me or is this a bit lax. "The paper reports that Bivines was charged with assault in …
Now that is just stupid. "It's not unsafe". you are literally not looking at the road.
But you don't get 14 years for killing someone while driving drunk. At least not in the US. I had a friend who was in that situation. It was a horrible tragedy and completely changed his life. He got 2-4 years. I thought that was light when it happened. but believe me that was enough. He is dry as the sahara now. He doesn't touch alcohol anymore. The guilt is too much.
I do agree that txting/driving is as bad or worse than drunk driving. I just think 14 years is too long. 5-6 years, maybe. tops.
I don't know about this. 14 years is a damn long time. Killing someone is horrible and distracted driving needs to stop. But will this really stop it? I doubt it.
LOL
It is hard work making something so bad.
Yeah I guess so. Crazy.
That is just obscene. I wouldn't pay a penny over 71M.
If someone wants to do something stupid and hurt themselves, it's their problem. But if they are gonna go on the highway and be a danger to others, it becomes everyone's problem. These things need to go IMO.
Drugs do weird things to people... This is not the actions of a sober person.
We knew things were going to change after the IPO. Seems like their marketing dept was a little large... 1200 people... what were they all doing, I have to wonder.
Ok anyone who falls for this deserves it. Seriously you have to be pretty stupid to change where your checks go to some random person who calls you.
Could also be a flying car. I wouldn't worry about it.
That's creepy as hell. Even if she is just trying to snipe rides, I'd be tempted to call the police. There is probably some stalking law that can be put into play here.
That baby has a heckuva video to show his friends when he's older...
Smell. Most people you can't smell them. But the ones that you can.... you know what I mean. Either massive BO, or way too much perfume. Or they just finished a cigarette. Not my cup of tea.
Yes. OR. Only require and allow rating on only 10% of rides or something. That way when pax is asked to rate they will put a bit more thought into it since it doesn't usually happen.
It's messed up that it's a five star system. And you are required to have such a high rating. But pax knows this. So basically anything below a 5 star rating might as well be zero.
It should just be a thumbs up/down system IMO.
Driving can be a slog. It takes a certain type of person to be able to do this work day in and day out. I'm not surprised so many quit. It's not for everyone.
But it's also a decent job with a really low barrier to entry. I don't think they will run out of prospective drivers anytime soon.
Yeah, assuming they had customers and I'd be working as much as I can on u/l...
Yup. Cash only. I keep my mouth shut and be discrete about it, and they give me money. Simple as that. Don't ask questions.
