We need to get straight what each of the stars on the 5 star rating system mean. Many restaurants now have tablets on tables where you can rate your server at the end of the meal but only 5 star rating are considered good, a 4 star rating which is labeled as "satisfied" is considered bad for servers and can cost them shifts and money! If our society is going to make this 5 star rating system a thing for all service workers then we need some public campiagn about what each of the stars really mean!

They should have a note within the stars to indicate what they mean. Or they should be more leniant, 1 or 2 stars is bad, 3 stars is ok, 4 stars is good, and 5 stars in excellent. Isn't that hte standard start system anyways before Uber started making it 5 stars is good and 4 stars is bad? I mean if 4 stars is going to be bad why not jsut have the scale be "good" or "bad" lol

Riders have no idea what the stars mean, so many think 3 stars in good when in fact that could jeopardize my job. It sucks.

Learn how to change a passenger rating the next day and give three stars so they know how it feels to get three stars

Of course they do because they will get kicked off or will wait a long time for service if their rating is low.

How can you rate a server on the star scale when the questions are things like "How was your food". The server has no authority over how the food is cooked!

I think this happens with Uber too, people don't like the price of the Uber ride and give a bad star rating when the driver has no control over price!

The star system is so arbitrary.
