Can Lyft drivers see who tips them extra?
The Guru Take
Yes and no. They can see it later on the earnings statement.
Yes and no. The driver's Lyft app does not immediately show the tip amount after a trip. However, they do receive reports later that shows the tip amount for each ride. If they can remember who you are, perhaps they will be able to associate the tip amount back to you.

We appreciate all tips, but it is not easy to see the tip amount. It's probably a good thing so there wouldn't be retaliatory reviews against you...or at least to those who don't leave big tips.
What's wrong with leaving a bad review if the pax leaves you a bad review and no tip? The feedback goes both ways.
Drivers should be rated on how you drive and how you provide your service. In a similar manner, passengers should be rated on how they rode. They should not be rated on how they tip.
I understand if I provided a crappy service. What if I provided a great service and got them to the destination safely AND THEN they give me no tip. Then the riders aren't doing their part and holding up their side of the bargain. They are not being a good rider and hence should be rated negatively.
Alright, I get it that some passengers are jerks and may not tip or even give unwarranted negative reviews. But that's in their right.
Their "side of the bargain" is paying the fare. not tipping. I think you need to reset your expectation, because it currently doesn't align with the norm.
Leave a review saying you left a good tip if you want them to know!
