Can you count on getting a uber or lyft driver at 5am?
The Guru Take
Depends on your location
It depends on where you are located. In most major cities getting a driver at 5am is not a problem at all as there are plenty of drivers on the road. In smaller more rural or suburban areas, you might find there are very few or no drivers on the road at that time of day. If you are worried about getting a driver the day of you can always book your Uber or Lyft ride in advance (for most markets).

I am a driver and I drive from 4:30 to 7:30 all the time. It's a quite peaceful hours with no traffic, decent passengers, and good tippers. Absolutely love working those hours and so do many other drivers.
As has been mentioned, it does depend on where you live but Uber is so common now, I bet your would have a hard time finding a location where you cannot get a car at 5am!
I've used it a million times to go to the CLE at 5AM on Monday mornings and it has NEVER failed me. I know it sounds like an odd hour but 5AM is a popular time for us business travelers. Many drivers are out.
Hi so I'm trying to find a ride for 5 o'clock in the morning from my mom that goes to work is there anyway you can help
I live 15 minutes from Cleveland Hopkins Airport. I scheduled a ride with Uber to pick me up at 5:15 am the next day. I did receive a confirmation email. Next morning, no Uber. I checked my phone app and it said no cars available. Would have missed my flight if not for a great neighbor. I have tried to send a complaint to uber but you must do it about a specific ride and somehow that scheduled ride is no longer on my app. Any suggestions.
Nothing is ever guaranteed. I have had numerous taxis flake on me. If it is Uber important (pun intended) maybe see if you can get a friend to drive you.
