Earlier today, I had a girl get in my car SOBBING from the airport. I stayed quiet the whole ride but now I slightly feel like a jerk. This isn't my first sobbing customer but this one just hit me in the feels. Should I talk to them?

Our job is to get them where they need to go safely. Not to be a therapist. If they initiate conversation I'll go along with it but otherwise I let them be.
Couldnt agree more. If you want to pay me a few hundred bucks an hour to be a therapist then great, but I am not entering into crying territory for my measly $10 a hour.
Wait, actually that's a great idea. There should be an "uber for therapists". They'd drive to your house, pick you up, and drive wherever you want, listening to your garbage problems the whole way.
That would be awesome. get paid more for virtually the same job :) lol
I'll ask "Are you ok", if they respond with a short answer like yes or something I just leave them be. If they want to talk, this question will prompt them and they will talk.
Seriously ? You must be a new driver.
The other day I picked up a girl late at night around 10pm who was sobbing and not wearing any shoes and literally just had her phone. I think she ran out from her house on a fight. I felt really bad for her.
Cancel the ride and safe yourself a headache.
Charge them a cleaning fee for blubbering on my upholstery
coldhearted.
