I heard about Uber getting even cheaper than Uberpool.. my question is, how is the company making money?

How is Uber making money when the fares are $3 a ride? And most of that goes back to the driver, right?

    Well, no.  The most does not go back to the driver.  The drvers only make 12/hour.

    ...and, yes, as others have mentioned, the company is NOT making money.

    uber doesn't actually have a profit hahahaha. maybe the higher demand will make up for thte lower price

    and they're making you walk longer to get to your car, so it's more convenient for drivers

      how far do you have to walk? what if it's raining, sometimes i just want to get a ride for a few blocks but i dont want to walk to the car ahhah

    Uber has been struggling to make a profit for a while. Their main objective of the express pool (which i think you are referring to) is to get more people to like them by giving cheaper fares.

    uber drivers make all the money from all the passengers, it's just like uberpool where the driver still gets paid the same amount
