I would like to book a ride home from Washington Natl Airport but I would like to be in touch with the driver using a cell phone. Is that possible? Or can the communication be done through text messages?

    Once driver accepts on Uber you can call or text them. Lyft you can only call them as Serg said in his post.

    On Uber you can text through the app, on Lyft got to call
