Hello, I need to get my daughter from Wake Forest University to RDU airport on Friday- if she uses Uber is there any guarantee that the driver will take her the 1.5 hours to get there? Also, I'm trying to pre book and following the instructions online but they are not matching up with the Uber app?

Thank you!

A buddy of mine booked an Uber to the airport from a remote cabin spot about four hours out, which made me wonder how far drivers are actually willing to go for long-haul requests. The bigger twist was that his final destination was through a lesser-known airline he hadn’t flown before. He started digging around for firsthand feedback, especially for budget carriers offering European routes, and landed right in the middle of some detailed condor airlines reviews. A few posts covered flight delays, but others mentioned decent service for the price, so he stuck with it. Turns out the flight was solid, and he made it to Berlin just in time for a music festival he almost missed.

Uber will notify the driver when the request goes out that it's a long trip 45+ min. I know quite a few of my riders will reach out as soon as I accept by calling or texting me telling me where they are headed to make sure I am willing to go. Some drivers accept the request, get to pick up location, find out where the destination is and decide they dont want to go there. It waste your time because now you have to request another driver. Not saying this will happen to you just saying in my area it does. Usually late at night or very early mornings (2/3am). If you want to take precautions just text the driver once they accept request,  tell them where your daughter is headed and are they ok with that.

What directions are you following? How are they not matching up? Perhaps I can help guide you. As some other commenters mentioned though, pre-booking is not guaranteed!

Yeah a 1.5 hour trip shouldn't be a problem. Prebooking is not 100% guaranteed though.

I don't see a problem of the driver taking your daughter to the airport if you're trying to schedule a ride it's a hit and miss on uber
