Trying UberPool. Once I accept a UberPool request, can I choose to not pick up additional passengers?

So I believe this is frowned upon, but you can. You will quickly notice that with UberPool, the rides are automatically accepted and you don't have chance to ignore or decline; however, there is a trick.
...and I won't even ask why you want to do this. I do it sometime. Don't ask why.
Right after you accept a UberPOOL request, even before you pick up the first person, you can either a) go off-line by swiping at the top left of the screen or b) go to menu and select "Accept no more rides."
Once you complete the ride, the app asks you to stay online. Then you can tap "Stay online", and you are all set.
No, you cannot. All additional passengers are accepted automatically. You have no means of intervening. You get what you get.
Makes sense, right?
