How bad will the surge be on St. Patrick's Day?
New Uber user here. How is surge on a holiday where the name of the game is consuming beers. Is …
I don’t use UberEats or DoorDash, because picking up food is literally the only instance I leave the house.
Is there even surge anymore now that the ridership is down by 80%.
Oh, no he didn't. he went there. so much ignorance in such a small paragraph
You can always feel out the future availability by checking a week before. So in your case, open the Uber app at 4:30AM, a week in advance, and see if there are cars there at that location. (and yes, you can change the pickup location to anywhere. it doesn't have to be your current location).
I've been there in your same shoes before, but most airports have taxis at all hours of the day/night, and they also have means of providing ground transportation, say by calling a local 24/7 taxi company. I get it you love Uber, but at least there is a fallback and you won't get stuck.
Noooooooooo...
I get it safety is important but we are going backwards. Something so useful and convenient will soon not be so.
“GOFER” I get it and that’s funny
Remember what happened you Maria. Went Trump nut
At least Lyft isn't losing $5B every few months... That's their business plan. Just don't lose billions of dollars.
With all this information, how have you not busted the guy.
I take it you work for them?
I actually do when available. The roads are full of older vehicles and this assured me I get a newer car.
Honestly I feel like the quality of the cars has been going downhill the recent years. The drivers so their best to clean but they can’t hide the fact that some cars are like ten years old.
I’m my experience. (The Comfort doesn’t seem to cost that much more so I do it.)
I honestly don’t get it still. And how can it be Uber’s fault. The tip button is hugely displayed and it is right in your face when you open the app next. You almost cannot avoid it. It’s the stars and three large circle buttons.
What else can Uber do?
What a strong argument and potentially a proof that it’s the education and expectation setting. Fascinating.
There’s egg or chicken thing going on. Until there’s enough cars and drivers, the price will be more and the availability will stink.
Frankly, I don’t even know there is one around me. DC area
Many reporting that using a credit card may bring the icon back. Instead of debit cards.
You mention Amex card. Maybe remove other payment methods?
Right. Like craigslist or a dating site. The app makes the connection and that’s as far as they go.
They are absolved of their liability as they are simply the courier of information. It’s worked in other places.
Capitalism?
What about both?
At least from the pickup side, drivers see this. but only high volume stores offer this.
I like this design much better
