  I would also like to add that this nonsense of under tipping or not tipping must end with a imposed 15% surcharge that goes directly to the driver. You can lawfully impose a surcharge but not a tip in verbatim.  One voice in unity not just in NYC but where ride apps appear so should the voice of justice.

  They put a cap on issuing  TLC plates except for yellow , green and /or handicapped accessible vehicles.  Where is the fare increase to match the coming minium wage of 15 dollars per hour ?

  Well as far I know only the cap was applied .The rest of what you stated is not in effect yet.

  It could be two things :  Ass cheese coming from you and/ or the driver or just from  the driver has to work like a slave for low rates and no tips.

  Remember that you are the Captain of your ship and let no one disturb your peace. If someone tries to look down on you it is because he or she have a low self esteem. If someone raises their voice and /or becomes vuglar cancel the ride immediately and notify your app company to protect yourself.Never lower yourself to their standards nor be embarrassed  at your occupation . As long as your behind the wheel and performing a service you are a driver and there is no shame in working for a honest days pay.
