Do Uber drivers get paid for additional stops? Say, I ask to pick up a friend?

Can you stop building stuff, please? You aren't a "technology" company. You are just a ground transportation company. Glorified taxi dispatching call center. That's all you did. Replaced and automated the antiquated call center fod dispatching taxis.

I remember someone selling 5-hour energy. but selling though.
Yeah, there's a lot of truth to that. For real.
Well, and people probably didn't care for tha position to be open. Still private. NOthing to report ot hte market, and they didn't need profits.
Yes, but cars will soon drive themselves, so we are okay.
Have you looked into Mace or Pepperspray? Illegal in some states, but they are cheap and effective.

That is hilarious.
No, I had no idea. and if I didn't know, how can it help. That'd be so sad if a cabbie is calling for help but people just finds it cute and keeps walking.
Wait what? You get paid tolls even though the toll wasn't a part of the trip? ...to cover the return trip's toll?
I have not heard this. How is this fair to the passengers. I mean, what happens if someone from NJ took it into PA and you drive over a toll bridge? Would this inbound passenger not have to pay?
Anything with "Uber" in its article header is news.
Journalists love anything with Uber.
Impersonating a Uber employee? Oh jeez. Please don't get busted for that...
Can we just get to the future where people will come to my car to perform the inpection?
Should I dare do it? Should I ? OK. I am calling it "Uber for auto inspections." Push a button and voila, someone shows up to my vehicle inspection.
Are people really supposed to lock them to trees and guardrails and stuff? Taht's what this article makes it sound. I thought you were able to just abandon them anywhere.
