Do Uber drivers get paid for additional stops? Say, I ask to pick up a friend?
...and while at it, what about the carpool options? UberPool or LyftLine?
He thought you were joking because 9 to 5 is possibly the worst times for drivers to drive. It's the times when the public is working, stuck in an office or job somewhere, and they aren't running around on Ubers.
I have no idea if he was mocking you though.
Ok, I will bite. What is liquid ass. Is that like sharting on someone. like a pepper spray.
Can you elaborate on the #3? What about a tap on the shoulder?
The first part of your comment had so much hope for humanity. Then the second. LOL.
You drive a Tesla for Uber? Are you one of those gazillionaires who don't need to work but drive Ubera for "perspectives?"
Paul English, founder of Kayak, and Travis Kalanik of Uber are only others I know.
Oh, come on. You had me excited that the article covered motive but it doesn't. Could it be? Could it be what we are thinking? Taxi-->Uber?
So many acronyms..
SMUD? Electronic Vehicle (EV), Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) and battery-electric vehicle (BEV)
Who the heck is Moovn.
He was testing the use case of how people would use an autonmous car. watching television.
The test result: fatal crash. I hope someone at Uber took that note.
Sorry. I was trying to make a joke. yes, i know that.
and it doesnt' look like uber tries too hard to stop people from doing it. I mean, all they need is a parents' credit card number.
Stop spoiling the kids. Let them order the Uber themselves.
How far do you plan to go on a bike? Will 30 minute not get you there? It's a $1. The estimate will always be a dollar.
and it will always be cheaper than any other option.
Well, drivers can't see what you are tipping, so the answer is no.
Well, sort of. It's basically just letting people create their own accounts. so it's definitely sort of. LOL.
I am not a legal expert, but I am thinking sorta yes. I mean, they can be breaking Uber terms of service, but theroetically it isn't illegal for them to not drive anyone for any reason, right? It's their own car and their own time. Wasn't it the employment rules that made it illegal for taxi drivers in the past?
I disagree. The whole point of bringing in a new CEO is to overhaul the image of the company. Sure, the reputation won't change overnight, but at least now they can blame Travis, the guy who isn't there anymore.
Sure, it's some B_school game, but hey it works.
In or near a big city? No problem. In smaller towns and suburbs? Maybe not. The best is just to check. Keep a local taxi company # as backup. Taxis are 24x7(usually)
If the drivers got paid triple, people will be doing UberPool ONLY. How great would that be.
From a rider's perspective, yes well dressed drivers will win points and I bet tipping will be affected positively. Maybe not even consciously but subconsciously. N
The cost is more of a concern for me. The unit price on these bikes must be pretty expensive. And I bet people would loooove to steal it.
Lots will go missing with people driving them into a tunnel where the GPS is shoddy.
How much is this thing? Computerized bikes seem expensive.
