I actually thought it was like a radio wave or those music files that we all listened to on a Windows machine. Like in the 80s. Remember those?
i too excitedly clicked on this post thinking it was some super weapon produced by Uber. But alas.
7 weeks for me. I honestly have no idea why it took so long. I contacted them three times and I finally gave up. Never heard from them.
One day, I got a text, opened the app, and noticed that I was approved. It was after I had forgotten about it.
See, 16 I totally get it. There are people asking for 8 and 12 year olds. Come on.
Then again, my college roommate is from NYC and he said he took cabs age 7. like alll the time. maybe I am just not cultured enough to understand.
Fake news. Come on. These Uber news are making headlines because of all the fake news outlets. Uber is too easy of a target, and they report on it with all speculations just so they can get the clicks.
All the left wing liberals just looove talking about how bad the bad boy is. I am sure this is Travis' fault.
Well, if you know anything about restaurant business, for takeouts, there is a decent profit margin, as those orders will not incur expenses for wait staff, space in the restaurant, parking spaces, etc. Any takeout orders would be outside of their standing operational costs, so restaurants grealty welcome it. (Just cook and receive money.)
Therefore, you'd think Uber Eats would be great for restaurants. 30% commissions? That does seem high, but as long as the net covers the cost of the ingredients and chefs cooking the, there must be profit.
why does SF and NY always get the coolest things first.
Guys like you ruin it for everyone else...
I heard that people stopped buying Prius for personal use because eveyrone now knows it as a taxi car. Prius' personal sale way down compared to their commercial sale.
Not saying that's bad. They built a nice car that costs little to operate, withstand the abuse of heavy use, and saves money on gas. Good for them.
Thr driver recruitment, retention and payment is the single largest cost for a rideshare company. The rest is just maintaining software, processing payments and advertising. I can totally see 80% reduction happening.
Dont' they kind of do this now? Multiple destination thing.
Good info.
Here's the more important question though. Did you actually try it. LOL
How do you have any doubts? These are car that never collide, only be used when needed, can work 24x7, and costs 25% of the car ownership currently.
Taxi drivers are expensive, error prone, and can only work certain times. They also need to eat, poop, sleep, etc.
Seriosuly. whatever happened to the future cars?
Their catch phrase was,
THE SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE WAY TO RIDE
I second this one. Call the CC company. Also, stick to VISA or MasterCard for best chances internationally.
It's been pretty well-known that Lyft riders tip more at least more often. UBer didn't let people tip in the past so there are still Uber people who don't know.
