How reliable is Uber for early morning pickups to airports?
Little known fact. Airlines have seatbelt extenders as is required by FAA. It's basically a single strap with buckles on both ends.
Large people should carry them around when taking taxis. I don't mean to be insensitive. It's in the name of safety.
This opens up a whole world of possibilities for riders who want to contact drivers afterwards...by pretending to have lost an item.
Can we do something about the "robotaxi" thing? It sounds super lame. This is our opportunity to come up with a cool way and we are messing it up.
WHAT THE HELL? Really?!! I guess that makes sense but wouldn't that minimze the driver pool?
Also, does this mean that if I owned a luxury SUV but it's white, I can't drive it for Uber? ...and instead, I'd be an UberXL? lame.
The fact you cannot contact the riders as easily is a deal killer. save it for the GPS.
Do people really have an iPad but not an iPhone?
There will definitely be more to this story. Autopsy results, if it ever gets released, will clear some things up. I'd hate to say it but there must be some fault on this dude who died. and quite possibly drunk. A driver wont randomly pepper-spray a paying customer who is sitting behind him, while he is driving, risking his own life while at it.
I live in the burbs. How would I drive into the city on my cool AV? Park in the outskirts and then switch to Uber? Sounds like a horrible idea.
Some people do that with public transportation where they switch to the subway system. So basically, Uber just wants to take over city's public buses and trains. Pretty obvious.
Yeah, that would never happen here in the usa.
...speaking of which, gee, i wonder how Curb and Flywheel are doing.
Oh...my...gosh.... Be careful before answering this everyone!! It's a trap!
Yeah, what's the OP saying about "KILLING" it. Nothing will kill them at this point. Even if SoftBank changes the name to TravisRides or Didi buys 100% of it, Uber is around in many ways, right? or did I take it too far?
I am cleaning up puke between my rides.
actually, on a serous note, after every ride, I do tidy up the car, maybe vacuum using my portable, and check for stuff. Water bottle in the cupolders, etc. I drive in Phoenix. Black.
He's lucky for not being charged the $150, which is reserved for bodily fluids. LOL.
A YEAR AGO?! 600,000 drivers?! 57 million users?
