Life lessons reversed. "Don't get in the car with strangers."
here's a similar one:
actually it's near impossible even for a dude. The angle is just way off. For one, and I bet you didn't know this but it's hard to pee sitting down, partially lying down. Then it's obviously pointed upwards, but you have to somehow aim down...you know, to use gravity, but that makes for a very awkward experience
no, I'e never tried. that's messed up how dare you think I would
1.6%? No. I make....like.... you know what? I have no idea. I have to go check.
Oh,yeah 100%. I know this happens. I have had users tell me, completely proud and clueless as to what they did is wrong. The case I have seen isn't with luggage but more for large parties.
Weekends, after a bar close. They have 5 people, and they know they won't fit in a sedan, UberX. So they keep trying to get an SUV.
What they don't know is that we can deny the ride or have Uber fix the price retroactively.
Can I point out what Alex Keaton says in the comments?
"The article actually proves there is no wage gap. It was due to three factors they say: 1)How long they’ve been driving on the platform (i.e. more experience knowing where to get good passengers, plus people on the platform longer probably are more serious and work longer hours), 2) preferences over where/when to work (i.e. willingness to work where customers are and times needed instead of enforcing your own preferences on the market) and 3) driving speed (i.e. being able to serve more customers in the same time, or getting better tips for arriving quicker). So it's the usual female thing where they want to work according to their personal preferences but get paid the same as men who put aside their preferences, endure discomfort and adapt to the market. Shame!"
See, the thing is... People who are needy and ask for lots of stuff on an Uber are the least likely to tip. Trust me on this. I've driven several hundred passengers, and those who ask for volume up and certain station to be played, AC/thermostat be adjusted, ask for route changes are the worst tippers.
I always thought highly rated pax and highly rated drivers are paired up. and crappy douches of riders and drivers are rightfully paired up.
Why would they do it any other way?
No, I am a driver, and it doesn't scare me. I feel as though this is completely a separate audience. These are the people who wanted to walk but decided to ride a bike. These aren't the people who are hopping on cars.
Uber users go much farther, often in groups, and they want to get there faster. It's comparing apples and oranges.
This is stupid data. What do they even mean by "average?" They must be counting all Uber users, including those who didn't have any rides. i.e. $0.00. These figures are way too low and the variance way too wide to make this data useful.
I am surprised as well, but I wouldn't call it dead. Amazon is in it full force. They bought Wholefoods, and are ready to start delivering to our homes.
Coverage: Buying Wholefoods got them within a few miles from significant portion of the US popluation.
Last Mile: From those stores to homes, they are planning to deploy those droids to keep the costs down.
Good point.
I don't mean to judge, but I doubt this passenger in the video can ever NOT use her phone for more than 12 minutes.
No idea. I even googleed it. Why are you making this up.
Suuuuuuurrrrrreeee, it's your friend. This is obviously you.
I don't understand why people claim one service better than another. It's all the same drivers. There are no differences at all. Maybe the approach on conflict resolutions, but Uber really ramped up on that recently.
Didi will face the same challenges in the US. Price or customer service and conflicts.
I'd get down on my hands and knees for a billion dollars.
Nope. Those "cheaters" will end up getting a fare and that fare won't be surged. Cheaters always lose!!! Hahahaha
The famous one is the mass "switch-offs." It's how a bunch of drivers coordinated and decided to turn off their Uber Driver apps. (i.e. go offline). Then once a surge kicks in (being checked on a Uber passenger app) due to low supply and high demand, they all turn their apps on, and they all get the surge.
Basically, they are gaming the system, the algorithm of Uber surge
Funny. I totally foresaw this happening in my post from 2 months ago. pic and all.

Yeah, but what ant is saying is that there are way fewer AVs than there are real cars.
Divide those two numbers and you get 5.4X. That's how many more people are kiled by human drivers than AVs.
are you crazy. how would a bicycle fit in a cab? You must be mistaken this for a subway. the answer? Yes,you can but avoid rush hour as a courtesy. Duh.
