I was always under the impression there was little to no difference. I see you mention the surges a lot, would that be the biggest difference you see?
We all know Uber will find a way to operate for longer than 2 months. This is actually a win for them, they should have been stopped but instead they got a 2 month grace period to adjust.
I think these times are more just an estimate, they are not guaranteed. Do you always use Pool/Line? While these services are cheaper you always have to budget for much longer rides!
I think this type of ride is pretty normal TBH, I think you would be fine with getting a ride. It may be a bummer for the driver to drive back without a fare but it is common!
How would they verify? I agree this problem needs to be fixed but part of this in on these kids parents for letting them have such freedom.
My mind keeps wandering back to this story today, you nailed it, just so heartbreaking.
I read this little synopsis earlier, sounds pretty good actually.
"It was the middle of winter of 2017, and Jeff Jones, the man responsible for Uber’s public perception, was trying to shake everyone in the top ranks of the company awake. Uber didn’t have an image problem. Uber had a Travis problem."
Is that a hard acceptance rate to attain? I mean shouldn't drivers be accepting all rides?
I do think it is good to have a rating system. I know some people are all up in arms about it and say it is dumb but I think it is helpful for Uber/Lyft to weed out the bad eggs. I do think they should weed out bad passengers like they do with drivers but they probably will never do that.
I like that there is some standard verbiage you can choose if you want - kind of dumb but I never have time to type out my thoughts.
You might also want to look into a carpool sharing program with other parents. If you can swing school drop-off once or twice a week you may be able to get the other days for free when the other parents drive. Not sure if this would work with your schedule but thought I would mention it!
Seeing how there was just another strike yesterday, I am guessing no. lol
Sadly, this does not surprise me.
I really think they could have picked a better headline. This isn't even about millennials.
Wow, way too much text. I am not going to read that now or ever. Keep in short and simple. People will see that wall of text and just turn on their phone to play their games.
Disgusting, I hate so many people in this world.
I think most everyone called it. Now who is planning to invest?
I have one - "the trying too hard ride", where you get candy, chargers, water, and doors opened and closed. However there is a $5 surcharge for this menu option :)
LOL, their legal fees must be out of control.
She was the mom in Benjamin Button - starred with Brad Pitt. Pretty big it seems.
