On Tuesday, November 6, anyone with an Uber account can use its app to quickly find their polling place and book a ride to get there for free (in markets where Uber is available). The promotion will be available to all users.
Come on folks, let's get these clowns out of office!

Drivers will be stuck with a bunch of the dreaded short rides. Here in Philly polling places are less than a few miles (they are everywhere).
Yeah, I'd hate to be unpatriotic, but I may not work that day. It'll be chaos and remember drivers lose money on those short trips.
I wonder if people will be more likely to tip or not.
and I gotta vote too.
Do we get free rides home too?
This is cool but I doubt I will be able to get a ride, I am sure they will be all sold out.
Lyft announced they were doing this first, just FYI.
Undercover lyft rep?
How are they planning to give out free rides to EVERYBODY?! The system is going to be on overload. Are drivers getting paid the same still?
Remember that they only pay for the way there. No idea how they know when we are headed to a poling place, but the ride home is for charge.
and please do not ask us to wait for you outside. LOL. ...sigh, but I know you will.
That's all we need a cluster of commie pinkos in our cars . So my fellow drivers shut your app a create a surge near all polling stations.
Thanks! Good to know.
Why rely on Uber to find your polling place? You should know that location already, since in most states you already need to be registered ahead of time.
Also worth noting, while the ride to the polls may be "free," the ride home isn't.
Overall, this is a horrible deal for drivers, who will encounter the cheapest of cheap passengers, and risk their ratings in the process. I'm glad I'm in Washington State, where all voting is via mail, so no polling places anymore.
Many people do not have forms of transportation (ie they do not own a car). They may know where the polling location is but no way to get there.
Your point about no free ride to get home is very interesting.
