How many lost items do drivers see? How often?
The Guru Take
According to Uber, 11 a year
On average, among "full time" Uber drivers, 11 lost items are returned to the passengers every year. That's quite a bit of time spent on returning them!

So what do you find the most of in your backseat? This can be an interesting topic.
Drivers, can you share?
Chapsticks and change. Lots and lots of chapsticks in my box full of passenger stuff.
Gum wrappers, packing wrappers,
I assume you are looking for eccentric items. I do find phones, purses/wallets, and shirts, but those are a given.
Sunglasses, kid's stuffed animals (I know sad), earrings, and tiny jewelery things.
I bet that's only the ones reported. I get more lost items than that. Way more.
In most cases, people don't even make an attempt to connect. I wonder if it's because they don't care or they don't know. or Uber's process is failing.
I've had car keys, digital cameras, and LOTS of kids' toys. I feel bad but I don't even know how to return them.
Same here. I just dump them occasionally at the local Uber lounge. I have no idea what they do with them, but it's off my mind that way. I'd like to think every item foudnd its way, but it's most likely just in a big dumpster behind the Uber building.
