Shouldn't I make my driver cancel so I am not charged the cancellation fees? I feel like the drivers always ask me to cancel when he doesn't want to take me.

Carrying multiple phones, driver apps, and accounts. Does this really happen? Does it really work?

OMGGGGG Uber is SO annoying. I left my phone in the car and had to go an hour and a half to get it. And then they charge me $15! I met him near his house!

If a driver uses Uber as a rider do you tip the driver or do you feel driver shouldn't expect tip as a courtesy?

While most riders don't tip, particularly on Uber, I was fortunate enough to run into this couple that required several trips during the day. After the first trip he asked if I could come back and get him in a couple of hours to take him back to where I picked him up. I did, and the after this trip he asked if I could come back in another couple of hours to take him to a wedding. I said no problem, and after dropping them off at the wedding he thanked me and handed me a $100 bill. His rides for the day weren't cheap either. A good day for sure!
My biggest tip ever on an UberX is $10. $10.00.
See, the problem is that Uber app suggests three tiny tip amounts. No one ever selects the option to enter their own figure.
You haven't figured out that these once mass transit riders are tightwads assholes that need to return to mass transit ????
I never tied the two together before.
I knew of this trend where mass transit users are converting UberXs due to cheap prices. This is evident in places like NYC.
Then I hear all these questions on a forum like this where people are asking whether Uber is priced per person. I wondered why this question keeps coming up, because it’s not like anything has changed from the taxi days. I Just realized that those questions are coming from the mass transit people.
It all makes sense now.
You have me beat. My biggest is $7. Cue Eyeroll.
Airport trips usually score big tips. More to do with longer trips, I suppose. I remember getting a $20 tip on a $60 ride. (I think it was like 62 and left a 18.)
I will commend Uber for how the tip go on the same credit card and they automatically consolidate the receipts from two transactions. Super helpful so the business users don't have to submit two expenses.
Are you sure this is a "business account" thing? My guess? Fat fingered typo.
He was talking to me about his work travel so seems to be a business account thing...
most definitely. Pax meant to give $5.
I never get when business travelers don't tip. It is not even your money!!
Many Business Travelers have to submit receipts. It doesn't look good to be leaving huge tips and wasting the companies money.
