Uber is Making Big Changes in California for Drivers! Is all this due to CA AB5?
I welcome these changes over the past month culminating with commission caps at 25%, showing destination, bringing the old surge …
Hey I understand your frustration, I've been there. Uber and Lyft are two horrible companies, they should be regulated to death for all the laws they've broken.
I signed the new TOS but opted out intermediately like i have done with the previous ones, time is running out, drivers have 30 days to do so!
I signed the new TOS but opted out intermediately like i have done with the previous ones
Denmark kicked them out, big problems in France as well, regulators are catching up
It's not the job that's hard, it's the pay which is peanuts and stealing of tips on the case of DoorDash
That's too bad, it's against TOS to refuse rides, there is a laundry list of things
No they can't, it's against TOS, but if you complained to UBER, they will definitely deactivate him. However, he can refuse to wait for you more than 3 minutes at your first stop and end the ride.
Will other states follow CA lead?
Uber definitely will throttle you if you're trying to complete a quest or streak as well as out you in quiet time outs. That's been going on for a long time.
In this day and age of algorithms, what you make driving is not up to you
With UP and the Penny Surge what the pax pays and drivers receive has been totally separated. This is the way they're going to make money, Lyft PPZ scam isn't any better
Uber knows everything the driver and the passengers are doing during the trip through the GPS signal and gyroscopes smart phones have. Every time I drive over a certain speed limit, Uber app sends me a warning.
Big brother is always watching
Drivers get deactivated for weapons violations all the time, hope Arizona has different laws
I've spoken to Lyft CPO and CMO directly for this article, they both say the new statement is clearer. It's about drivers checking the huge take rate of Lyft, getting pissed off and switching to drive for Uber
They do to employees not IC which they say their drivers are
Lyft will put his account on hold for 48 hours to do the BS investigation, then release him back to the wild unless he had other reports like this
Uber always takes something away after giving something up. They've proven this over the last 8 years
I was not aware of that, in CA drivers are getting the upper hand when it comes to rideshare driving.
https://ride.guru/content/newsroom/drivers-are-finally-getting-what-they-want-is-uber-relenting-to-the-ca-ab5-law
NFL, not for long 😆
Don't you get paid from the time the request is accepted to the end of the ride? They did that in many cities a while ago, called it easier to understand more predictable earnings. We're at 80/12 in Los Angeles on Lyft and 60/21 on Uber. Peanuts!
That's crazy, 33 cents a mile, you would think they would run out of drivers by now, but there are 8 cars at every street corner.
