Uber is Making Big Changes in California for Drivers! Is all this due to CA AB5?
I welcome these changes over the past month culminating with commission caps at 25%, showing destination, bringing the old surge …
The separation between what pax pays vs what they get charged has been completed.
I guess if it works in India, it'll work here 😆 there goes all my U-Z-L hauls. I wonder if they'll have something for the driver protection soon. I doubt it though.
Uber, Lyft, can or public transportation. On Uber and Lyft you can schedule rides to fit your hours, there will be no discounts, rides are already cheaper than what they should be.
If the car cones to a sudden stop or the trip takes longer than Uber estimated or the route is changed outside UBER'S navigation parameters, they'll send the passenger a text asking if everything is OK. This is nothing to do with safety, it's all about Uber trying to stop drivers from long miling trips to get paid more. In Los Angeles where rush hour traffic is horrible, every ride will take longer than their estimate. Bunch of PR BS
It's of course gross earnings as well as booked time as if drivers are on a chess clock. 😆
Check out Nomad Rides out of Indiana and Alto out of Texas.
Operating system fir my daily life is my family and friends. Only time I think of UBER or when I write or tweet about them. These people have such visions of grandeur.
If you need a survey to find out what the challenges are about rideshare, you've been living under a rock. HIGHER PAY? Start there, good luck competing with the killer squid Uber.
Are you a newbie or been driving for a while
If you're going to buy a new car to do Uber or Lyft you're making a huge mistake go buy a beater XL then you can drop down and do X rides as well when XL is not busy
Nothing special here, they needed new positive PR after WaPo ran that horrible story about SIU. Definitely worth the read.
The code system has nothing to do with safety. It's about drivers starting the ride early, seeing the destination and cancelling the crappy rides. Come on Uber, you zig I zag.
😆 this guy can sell ice to Eskimos but thankfully I have lots of ice, he's a great salesman a Barry Diller protege, who himself was a great salesman
That's how it apparently worked in Iran until the revolution. The government is fixing it, it's called AB5
You do know that DK thinks drivers are not core part of their business model correct 😆 everything for the passenger nothing for the driver
I had a girl get in my car last week after hello I tried to start the ride it wouldn't let me ask for a four digit code unfortunately the girl who was in a rush said she didn't have anything and I wasn't about to give her a free ride she cussed me out and left the car not sure if that's going to be working great I always wonder how hard is it to look at someone's license plate
I tweeted it, let's see. There's a panic button on my app, I told this driver how to use it on a previous post.
Do you have a dash cam? It's always the best proof! Invest in a double view one where it records outside and inside the car simultaneously.
Lyft, UBER, public transportation or taxi? That's about it. It'll be expensive no doubt.
Uber doesn't care, I'm very sorry about what you went through. I hope you filed a police report. You do know there's a panic button on your driver app now? E-mails won't do it. Click on your driver picture, then the help button next to the question mark, scroll down you'll see an emergency number. Call that immediately. Thank God you and your passengers are all right.
