  Not to be a jerk but it is just common safety to not get in a strangers car. If this guy was just posing as a driver then obviously he was not the Uber driver that was stated on the riders app. Rider's need to be more aware than this!!

  This is what the Govt did with the medallion system and taxis. I honestly think it worked really well. Cheap rides with Uber are great and all but there are too many negative aspects. What is the point of paying a cheap per minute rate if it is now going to take you twice the amount of time to get to where you want to go?!

  Uber has started allowing kids to pay via their campus card so for those kids who are on mommy and daddys credit card the parents will jsut see funds being uploaded to the campus card but then the kids will use that money for uber rides. Uber is in on this little game...

   6 years ago in  Uber fare different for same location, same route, same time, and no surge.

  Ya, same here! They claim their prices are lower but I remember getting into the city from my house for right around $20 and now it is always approaching $30...

  I have also heard the theory before that they exploit frequent riders, knowing they need the rides.
