Ok since a few people have wondered about this:
How much does it cost to charge a scooter? Less than you might think. Just to run some rough numbers:
The scooter batteries' capacities are reported to be about 8800mAh at 36V. We can convert this to watt hours: 8800 * 36 / 1000 = 316.8Wh
Electricity costs on average of 12 cents per kilowatt hour (ie. 1000 watt hours) in the US. So, the cost of charging one of these scooters from empty is going to be something like:
(316.8 / 1000) * 12 = 4 cents
It's probably a bit more than that since chargers are not 100% efficient. And, the cost of electricity varies between different locations, so take this with a grain of salt. But it's safe to say the electricity cost of charging these things is not something to worry much about.
Cool idea. Hope it takes off. Do you guys have any vehicle requirements, such as age of vehicle, etc? And do you do any sort of background checking on prospective drivers?
So if you tip $4, you get $1 back somehow? Into an accountant my or something? Can you explain how this works in a bit more detail?

Then again overstock.com still accepts bitcoin as far as I know so maybe it is not a pipe dream.
Best bet is to call a traditional taxi if you need to pay cash.

If he installs the Uber app and makes an account (if he doesn't have one already) then he can just use the app when he gets there to hail an Uber. Easiest way.

Hi, the transaction will be handled by Uber entirely. Uber will charge your card at the end of your ride.

I'm sorry you are having such trouble. Ride Guru does not book rides. You need to do that via your Lyft app, provided you have it installed.

Hello - yes! When you click the "Hail Uber X" button, the Uber app should open on your device (so long as you have it installed).
Ride Guru does not handle booking rideshare rides. It is all be done through Uber. You can try this now; the ride will not be booked until you press the Confirm button in the app.
Yes, this is the type of service that Uber and Lyft offer.
