A 20-year-old college student’s Reddit post about “the worst, most backwards day” of her life is gaining traction online after she recounted how she was dropped on the side of the road by an Uber driver who disagreed with her decision to get an abortion.
College student going to abortion clinic left on the roadside by Uber driver.

This seems to fall into the unbelievable category - how would a driver know what is going on at a destination BUT, if true, the driver should be fired and should be answering criminally and in civil court for damages, in my opinion(bear in mind I am not a lawyer or prosecutor), just my opinion!
Can’t fire someone that doesn’t work for you. You can suspend their account and investigate the incident. If Uber contacts the driver and said driver admits to recusing oneself from what some consider accessory to murder well adios lol. If the driver says WTF NO then Uber has to determine if passenger is potentially one of the millions of attention whoring head cases we share this planet with.
There are mentally unstable drivers and riders as I have encountered my fair share of each. I guesstimate it at 3:2 drivers to riders so reddit lady wins the battle but the war rages on.
I didn’t read the reddit did she record the incident? If she did yeah she should sue Uber. We had a Jew hater in Chicago boot an Israeli diplomat from his car on lower whacker of all places. That was recorded and on the news.
*Edit: Worth pointing out 5 days after her post she recommended Uber to another Reddit user. She cools off quicker than most. And even though her Reddit name is very obs…

*Edit: Worth pointing out 5 days after her post she recommended Uber to another Reddit user. She cools off quicker than most. And even though her Reddit name is very obscene and offensive she seems like a sane person judging by her many posts. At one time she used multiple religious dating apps. I was surprised to see that based on her abortion stance. Wouldn’t your odds of fraternizing with pro-life people be substantially higher?
Meh it’s her life driver should shhhhhaddup but also she should have recorded it we all have a smartphone in 2019. I don’t care what you believe in you definitely do not want to live in a society where you are guilty until proven innocent.
There are many pros and cons to self driving cars. Safe to say this fits into the pros list. Unless of course the self driving car is very judgmental also. Think about it! Like what if you had a unibrow and the car notices and it stops and it says get out. That’s what I do to unibrow people.

Hi Pattymelt, you are quite interesting, funny and smart! Thank You for responding to my comment. I think I agree with most of your observations/conclusions but I may have to read them a few more times after another bourbon or two! Thanks again, and don’t be a stranger please!
You went down a reddit black hole investigating this women :) lol Did you at least find out if she has a unibrow?
I dunno she seems like a nice person after reading her many posts. Her hygiene advice for men was quite enjoyable to read. As far as her story tho hmmm I dunno.
She claimed in her post the driver was banned but I have it on good authority that Uber do not share outcomes except in two cases. The very common exception is after receiving a subpoena on their LE portal and the other being a big ‘ol widely reported news story usually involving a murder or sexual assault etc.
Even when it’s a huge story I have routinely seen Lyft and Uber maintain their privacy policy to the letter. By not doing so this driver could sue them.
I am quite open to the possibility that she felt similar to how I did after an abortion 18 years ago and maybe just needed to take her mind away from that crushing emotional state that follows. Or maybe she has a unibrow and that is what this is reeeeeally about.
Yep. Def the UniBrow 😂
I tend to agree - something seems slightly fishy about this. I bet she offered up the information or did something embarrassing that she does not want to admit to, hence the unbelievable tale of the driver just randomly coming out and asking if she was getting an abortion...
Men who are so invested in womens reproductive issues kind of creep me out...
Welcome to Gilead, enjoy your stay.
It's a scary time to be an American.
Right becaase leaving a young girl stranded on the road is much safer than an abortion.. SMH
Some years back a delivery company driver did something similar when he realized the shipment was containing lethal injection drugs to be used at the penitentiary. Well he didn’t leave them at the side of the road lol. If I recall he said he couldn’t find the place. They say, it’s bigger than Disney World and the only building in that zip code. Guy says I didn’t see it. The popos ended up picking it up from the warehouse themselves.
I know these are apples and oranges but this story reminds me of that. Devout people are kind of hit or miss when it comes to this sort of stuff. I respect the concept of their principles but there seem to be inconsistency issues.
I hope she reported him to Uber. He should be fired summarily. We are professional drivers. I don't agree with her decision either but it's her decision and that guy had one simple job, which was to deliver her to her destination safely, end of story. He failed.
Driver is pro-life, except for people he doesn't like. They can die on the side of the road thank you very much.
There’s too many things to process for me to comprehend.
In fact, it's a sob story, but on the other hand I really think the taxi driver made the right decision and changed the woman's fate, because abortion is something to think about. Especially if you will be a college student of psychology and you will write with the help of https://happyessays.com/free-essays/abortion/ you will understand that this act of the taxi driver is actually not bad but on the contrary very good and right, I support the taxi driver.
