WHAT?! I thought they were doing ok?
"With heavy hearts, we are writing to let you know that as of 12am on Monday, March 5th, we will be shutting down all operations in Austin and Boston. Fasten has agreed to be acquired by Vezet Group, one of the top ten ride-hailing companies across the globe. While they will be using our brand and our technology to grow their business in other parts of the world, they will be freezing our operations in the U.S."

Saddest rideshares news in a longwhile. You guys were one of the good guys. Enjoyed working with you in Beantown. best of luck!
What will I do now with one less driver app on my phone?!!!! <---yes, I am ajerk.
I actually did try to use Fasten as much as I could because for each trip the earning was higher than Uber. They only charged $1, and no frills.
They had surge pricing too. Imagine the amount you make if you get a good surge and only pay $1!!
...but wasn't that the problem? They just weren't making enough money.
Another one bites the dust. When will the world realize that no company can beat Uber. You all just need to stop trying.
This is so sad, I loved Fasten!
I guess Uber and Lyft returning to Austin was too much for them.
and watch, now there will be doves of people in tears who will claim they would have used Fasten if it meant sticking it to Uber and the big guys. Now they are too late.
Hey, they are still looking for jobs. Check out the job openings.

Can we stop talking ill of the dead?
It'll pull a Bridj, another ridehail company which was more like an on-demand bus service. They ceased operations in Boston and then they took the platform and deployed it somewhere in Australia.
Yeah, they've been looking for their next round of funding. I know the growth has slowed down but... so sad. I guess their Russian founders decided to cash out and run. Throw 30 employees out on the street.
