I don't mean people handing out those ambassador business cards. I also don't mean people just casually mentioning about Lyft.
I mean Lyft employees literally recruiting them during a trip, only taking the trip for this purpose, handing out material, etc.

Yeah, they exist. be careful and treat them nicely. Or else they'll leave you a negative rating... I assume.
Yes I would them nicely but spraying liquid ASS on them as they exit the car . Both apps suck and are experts in deep throating
Unless they immediately cancel a ride when you say you aren't interested. (or that you alreay use it)
Wait, are you saying they really do literaly ride around with you, aimlessly, as they explain stuff to you? Brochures, video ads, and all?
Do they request for a super long ride, so they have a lot of time to talk? (hence they cancel when you say no...right?)
I was half joking when I asked this question.
I've had them when I used to drive in Orange County. (I don't anymore.) Yes, they did recruit Uber drivers to try out Lyft.
I wonder if they are doing this in new cities still. Like Ontario.
Lyft used to do this in the old days. Their ambassador program used to be predatory. I am not sure how it is now.
Uber played dirty too. Have you heard of New York Uber employees calling and cancelling thousands of Lyft requests just to screw them up. This was proven by Lyft and they were taken to court.
Why would they? Most Uber drivers also drive for Lyft, so in essence the chances are high that you'd be spending money to recruit your own people.
That being said, if I picked up an Uber ride and found out that the person was there only to steal me to Lyft, I'd end the ride and leave them at the curb. I may not be a model driver, but I have ethical standards and can't be bought. Wrong is wrong regardless of how you try to justify it.
Yes, they still do. Totally. They tell you about bonuses, and how it's cooler than Uber. They also talk smack about how evil Uber is. It's like Jehovah's witnesses. Overly nice, and a bit creepy.
