How to Order Uber Eats Family Style Meals

In an effort to help busy families during Covid-19, Uber has announced a new feature within their Uber Eats app, Family Style Meals. Family style meals will offer larger portions and value meals from participating Uber Eats restaurant partners.

To order a family style meal, open your Uber Eats app and then tap on “Family Style Meals”. According to Uber and depending on the restaurant, “menu options will include curated menus focused on larger portions intended to be shared, or a combination of items from mains, appetizers / sides, desserts and beverages that offer value and savings”.

Uber lays off about 3,700 employees over Zoom

It is hard to find an industry that has not been impacted by Covid-19 but few industries have been more affected than the travel industry. In a leaked video, Uber exec, Ruffin Chevaleau, tells employees that Uber’s business is down by more than half. She then proceeds to layoff 3,500 workers. "With trip volume down, the difficult and unfortunate reality is there is not enough work for many front-line customer support employees," she said. "As a result we are eliminating 3,500 front-line customer support roles. Your role is impacted and today will be your last working day with Uber."

As states begin to loosen Coronavirus restrictions and open back up, Uber is thinking ahead on how to best “restart” their rideshare business. According to CNN Business, Uber executives met last week to discuss new policies for both drivers and riders to help prevent the further spread of Covid-19.
