Uber Explore: Everything You Need to Know

Uber has launched another new product within the Uber app, Uber Explore. With Uber Explore, Uber users will now be able to browse and book experiences from dinner reservations, live events, and other fun activities.

According to Uber, when users open the new Explore tab within their Uber app they will see “places recommended to them based on categories including food & drink, art & culture, nightlife, music & shows, and more.” Further, customers will also be able to see reviews, photos, and directions for every experience. 

As part of Uber Explore, Uber users will be able to utilize “One Click Rides”. Under each experience a “ride there now” function allows customers to tap one button that books a ride with their pre-populated event destination. Further, Uber is making it easy to buy tickets to various experiences by allowing customers to pay conveniently through their Uber Wallet and Payment Profile.

When you first navigate to the Uber Explore tab you will notice that the top suggestions for experiences are based on your past use of the Uber and Uber Eats apps. As you utilize the Uber Explore function, your suggestions will update based on your interests. 

Currently Uber Explore is available in 14 locations through the US; Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Memphis, Minneapolis – St. Paul, New Orleans, New Jersey, Upstate New York, Orlando, San Antonio, San Francisco, Seattle and in one international city, Mexico City. 

Uber is currently offering 15% off rides (up to $10 total) to top restaurants and bars through their Uber Explore tab.
