Sustainability is only getting more and more important as the world gets “smaller”. In an effort to reduce corporate emissions and tackle climate change, Uber for Business is launching a new sustainability insights feature.

 

Through this new sustainability feature, Uber will provide corporate clients with a clear picture of their ground travel emissions. Participating organizations can access metrics such as total carbon emissions and the percentage of corporate travel trips taken on low emission alternatives, such as Uber Green, Comfort Electric and Uber Planet. There’s a new safety concern for Uber drivers and this time it doesn’t have to do with data breaches or passengers. According to NBC News, some Uber drivers are concerned that they are unknowingly delivering drugs via Uber Connect, Uber’s relatively new courier service.
