How do I only accept UberXL requests from users?
That's awesome. Kudos to them. I see more and more car washes starting to offer discounts for Uber drivers.
Those little compliments go a long way. :)
Lyft is all talk. They offer so many "perks" and "benefits", but they are always on trial basis and to limited drivers. I am sure they are great for those receiving them, but THIS is the reason I think it's all a publicity stunt.
RSDU - RideShare Drivers United
They are the ones who claim they called the LA strike yesterday.

Drivers no longer even see multipliers, you know. I think this is one of those things the passengers have no idea about. The world has been turned upside down for drivers, but the world blissfully keep on going.
Not to mention the risk you are taking by being on the road in a treacherous conditions.
The driver's vehicles are private properties. They are not public transportation like buses and taxis.
The expectation of privacy needs to be thrown out. The drivers can record what happens in their private cars, and if they don't like, they can step out.
We are independent contractor. I find it infuriating that Uber is trying to dictate what we can and cannot do in our own cars.
So much for the commitment to provide reliable service. Do they really close at 8:30PM? I can't imagine that to be true.
Yeah, I think that's what the OP is asking for, right. Pretty much? Riders are rating the experience while as the drivers end up being solely responsible for their experience.
If Uber overcharges or the surge angers the passengers, oops, it's the drivers' fault. Fantastic.
As of September of 2018, it's against Uber's policies to post pictures or videos of passengers. So the drivers cannot do this anymore. (Yes, it's a bit controversial as the cars are theirs and they should be able to record. Can they post? I guess that's the remaining question.)
Uber and Lyft confirm drivers can’t broadcast videos of passengers after a string of privacy incidents
Did you ever get your new stickers.
As a fellow driver, I am gonna emphasize on the "don't hate the player, hate the game" part of this. He is saying that the system is wrong and Uber is messing up, how they would need to do this to make the maximum amount of money. It's either they pay too little, or the inconsistency in the surges are causing people to do this.
OMG. This is a huge pet peeve of mine. I don't think the passengers realize how we don't know what they look like, and we really need to count on them to wave us down. This happens way too often at airports, and half the time they are looking down staring at thei phones. Hello, I am up here!
You passengers have OUR information, say the car type, color, and the license plate. It's on you.
I am already busy on Saturday nights, so Halloween or not, I am constantly driving. The surge patterns are different of course.
Yes, you should have been out Saturday during the day. Lots of stuff going around town.
Nooooo, Say it ain't so...!!
I do not want to drive UberEats, sam i am...
Someone else mentioned that they are struggling to calculate the tolls in the new mapping system. Many drivers are betting dinged with not being automatically reimbursed. I thought I’d point that out.
It’s smart. It’s a way to buy loyalty for perpetuity, all for just a small amount. And it’s not even money we can spend
With $10/hour, yeah. it's a tough life.
I'd hate to say it but many drivers, especially those fulltime, do not have other places to turn to. Imagine if your career got turned upside down where your skills and experience no longer was valuable?
It does matter whether Uber allows it. This can be grounds for deactivation.
Non-drivers or new drivers are so blazé about deactivation. They feel like it's a matter of being warned or just a matter of creating a new email/account or something. Once you get deactivated, it might be forever. You never if Uber will respond.
Estimated ride time would be awesome indeed.
Sweet. Thanks. I still don’t really wannna use it but it’s good to know.
