It's actually not 2 minutes for UberX and 1 minute for UberPool.
This was changed a while ago. Maybe as part of Uber's "180-day to change" initiative.

Yes, you can modify the passenger ratings after the fact. You may want to do this if you made a mistake or something else has happened since the trip that made you want to change it.
Here’s how you do it in the Uber Driver app.
- Uber App →
- Earnings →
- Select a trip (or a passenger) you have issues with
- Tap Help →
- Issue with a Rider →
- I want to Change my Rating for a Rider
Then you can modify the ratings and leave a reason why you wanted to change it.
I don't think it has anything to do with you cancelling rides. Uber's usually good with bridge tolls with me, and it's very easy to argue. The few they missed, they refund pretty quickly.
I have noticed though that how they miss the tolls is inconsistent. I'd do the two same trips and one would miss it and the other wouldn't. This speaks to why their logic must be broken.
...to the point that I feel like this is being done manually. Some gnomes in the back staring at the screen and manually providing refunds.
Right. Uber and Lyft scheduled rides aren’t guaranteed. A big difference from limos and airport transfer companies. No specific driver is assigned st the time of scheduling. (And hence they don’t call it a reservation.)

No they reach out to you. Invite only.
It may only be in CA.
Did you see this? It's basically the settlement from Uber on underpaying us and treating us like contractors. $0.11 a mile (since 2013), and they've been reaching out to drivers.

The rulings of all these do depend on the state you are in. In California, there was a big case where the court ruled in favor of the drivers, i.e. drivers should be treated as employees and more benefits are given.
I am out of Philly. I occasionally do have to go to NJ airports that are a few hours away. (Think driving from PA to Newark Airport which is towards New York City.) Every time, Uber hooked me up with a ride towards my home. Good for you, Uber!
Some may think this isn't a big deal, but I think it is. Without some kind of algorithm the rides I pick up from NJ could have easily taken me further north, towards NYC for example. Instead, I always seem to go South.
Wait, this is actually funny. (unlike million other videos out there)
They did their research, and there must be an experienced driver over there, as they captured many of the pain points pretty clearly.
Not to mention we really should be buying 360 degree ones that record the road AND the passengers.
Super make out sessions and nudity. Is that illegal in a car?
I had a group of girls once where one of them leaned out the door and started flashing other cars. Good memories.
O. M. F. G.
I don’t think I’ve seen it yet in PA though. And there are lots of govt people in Philly.
@nasrin, I would still report this to Uber as they should have record of who you were matched up with. If you had the driver info, say took a screenshot when he accepted your request, that'd be helpful but it isn't required. good luck. I am a driver and we really need to rid of these types of people who don't respect their jobs.
Nope. Not working tonight. Weather is horrible, cant count on big surges like in the previous years. Staying in and staying warm.
If I were the CEO of Uber, I would incentivize (i.e. provide bonuses to) the drivers who make the effort to improve passenger experience.
I think there are multiple ways to do this, but paying highly rated drivers more is a good start. Simple one.
Wow! 3.38!
4.7~ is the guideline for me. Anything lower is asking for trouble.
The lowest I've taken is like 4.2, I believe. It's funny because these people, especially those with low ratings, have no idea they are being rated at all. LOL.
You are asking Trenton is an okay place to drive. I do not know but I know Trenton, NJ is known for its high crime rates and number of violent crimes, beating Newark for the honor.

Actually, I never have one "blamed on me. I have had a number cancellations while I was on my way or when I was at the location already. It's BS and it wastes my time, but it happens. Uber over the years started to implement cancellation fees and long-distance pickup fees. So they help.
Wait, this is actually really good video. I wish I had this when I started.
Beats Uber's training material. Oh, right, there isn't one.
Flashers is a good idea. It catches people's attention.
Pickups at Philly airport is a nightmare though.
This is a pretty well known thing among drivers. A pax forgets the phone in the car and uses the location search like a Find my iPhone feature to come hunt it down. I have seen some rider quips on forums about how they got their phone from phone stealing drivers. (which is BS)
Passengers often expect drivers to drop everything and do whatever it takes to return the phone to them. ...even though it's their fault! I understand losing a phone is traumatic, but that's ridiculous.
We may need to further clarify the definition of "liable". If you get into an accident, your wife's auto insurance company will pay for the damages (assuming that the incident is covered by the policy). After that, the premium will most likely be affected, e.g. the premium would go up.
The price of the policy will depend on the risk level of your wife's account, such as the claims history, so accidents will hit her account and increase the prices accordingly.
If you get sued, the liability insurance on the policy should kick in.
If you get criminally sued or accused, well, that's on you. Not on your wife.
If I need consent, even a sign or making the camera viewable won't help me then, right...
Oh, jeez. I wish I hadn't seen this.
