How are Uber passengers and Lyft passengers different?
This is a question for drivers. Do you see any difference between Lyft and Uber riders? I have heard that … -
Nvidia further distances itself from Uber in wake of fatal self-driving crash [The Verge]
They ceased testing and their stock price dropped 12%. Ha! People took it to mean they were either at fault … -
Trying UberPool. Once I accept a UberPool request, can I choose to not pick up additional passengers?
I don't get it. So there are peple who don't mind making drivers wait VS there are people who die?
The black car from the left entered the intersection. I can't tell if it did on red or green, but the silver car didn't see it. Swerved.
and the car is going way too fast.
How des one use a waterbottle to fake a vomit. Are you saying someone will toss a water bottle and call it a mess? That's preposterous.
I believe that is correct.
They already own a significant portion, so why not.
Not to knitpick, but if the ride has already started, the driver isn't *cancelling* the trip. He is simply *completing* the trip.
A dog as a driver? No, dogs aren't allowed to drive. Please be safe and use commonsense.
Rules and regulations, laws, conflict resolutions (how to), customer service, tips to make more money, how to treat customers, what to expect during a course of a day, what the surge pricing is, etc. etc. etc.
how to handle emergencies? that'd be helpful. What about how to handle slightly unnormal situation like when a passenger has a service dog or requests to take you to 1000 miles away.
Is this for real? That screenshot actually tells the driver to pull over. How funny.
What a crappy day it would be if your app didnt' let you drive because the face-detection failed?
up from the current 6. So the market doubles. I guess that's a lot. Is that high stakes? I don't know.
How would DoorDash ever compete with Uber who already has the drivers?
what the heck are green taxis. aren't they supposed to be yellow.
is uber so dominant that they got sick of beating up yellows and decided to beat up greens too?
Long pickup fees, baby. While working in the suburbs, you will get fares that are usually far. Far like 15-20 minutes away, and that's the norm. The cool thing is that Uber started paying you for the time you are driving on the way to your passenger. I think it's like more than 8 minutes or something
So what do drivers do? When the pick up seems far away, start driving slowly, taking round-about ways, killing as much time as possible. I mean, ther's no incentive to go faster.
I smell a conspiracy. Some police department cover up. I get it that some days suck and are boring, but do your job.
I mean, I know it's tempting. I know it looks like you can do both, but this is wrong and you know it.
I take taxis daily in Manhattan, and I have never seen an upfront pricing. Then again, I hail, get on, pay and get out. I am not sure where it would even be displayed though.
