I have gotten these calls too, it is a scam.
I do supply these things but I drive in a smaller rural area and have never had issues with people stealing or using ungodly amounts of my supply so I haven't felt any financial hit. And they wya I look at it, it is also protecting me from covid.
I have had many pax refusing to wear masks, it is ridiculous. Uber does nothing to enforce it even though it is the official rule. They even have handed out these Covid Safety placards for cars with things on it like "use hand sanitizer" " sit in the back" etc and NOWHERE on the placard does it say wear a mask! So now when customers get in the vehicle they point to that and say "this doesnt say I need one" Uber is just completely leaving the drivers high and dry as the ones to blame in the great mask debate. It is ridiculous.
You have gotten a 4.33?? Obviously Uber only cares about the riders.
Im curious about this user trying Lyft as well.
😅
No food or drink, hard rule! I have people trying to convince me all the time but I am not willing to take the chance. Plus even if it doesn't spill it always scents up your car.
What is your thoughts on why Lyft pax tip more often?
What percentage of riders would you say tip you now?
Not to be mean but we make fun of a lot of our riders to our friends and family. Be careful what you say or do in my backseat. 😂
Oops or Grandfather! 😀 I initially read your screenname as AI (like Artificial Intelligence) not Al.
This is a really fascinating question that I have never contemplated before. I tend to agree with the other posters that Uber would reach out to you to get a newer car but seeing how Uber is not the most organized company your grandson may get away with driving his older model for longer than expected.
Also, what an awesome Grandmother you are to be helping him out!
How about "How much would I pay to be gauranteed only decent pax". If I could guarantee that I would never get any a**holes on my trips I would be so much happier. Plus I would make back my money in tips.
I drive to make that extra income for my family. Kids are expensive...
One time my passenger got a call while in the car that her father had passed away. It was the worst ride of my life. I felt so terrible just listening to her shock and sobs in the backseat. I spoke up and said I was so sorry but it felt so insignificant.
LOL, this is good. Way to fight back haha
Yep. I second this, I also make around a $100 a month. Ill be the first to admit its not a ton but for hardly any extra work Ill take it!
Anyone try Geico, Im at like $79 per month total with rideshare protection.
All those Uber support people HAVE to be outsourced, India/China? It is just a ton of standard stock emails that they pick randomly (I am sure they think the answer fits...) to respond with. Maybe we should start a thread with the most ridiculous Uber support answers we have gotten.
Wow, I am so surprised they didnt match you up. How far away was the other rider who was requesting a ride?
