I heard Uber drivers like rain. Why is that?

What's better than rain? A snowstorm during evening rush hour.
Massive all-encompassing surge, and long-duration drives at high per-minute rates.
LOL. Why stop there?! Hurricane and hailstorm are my favorites.
Why stop there? Magnitude 9 earthquakes are the best! Virtually no drivers out and many emergency responders have to get around
Did I go too far? 😜
I don’t like driving in the rain, so I drive much less. I’m afraid of getting into an accident. I’ve already been in an accident since becoming a rideshare driver (not my fault, not due to rain, but it took 4 weeks to get my car repaired). Couldn’t do Uber, Lyft or kid rides. All I could do was DoorDash with the insurance-provided rental car and I wasn’t about to rent another car to drive.
Lost wages majorly suck for drivers, and it happens whether it's the driver's fault or not. I was just reading two threads on this forum about it.

In the first example, he mentions how you can sometimes claim lost wages, which is good. The second one is a stupid rock through the window totally not the guy's fault
It really cripples the drivers though.
Simple. It gets super busy. People try to get out of the rain and start calling cabs.
This is true, very true, in most major cities, where people have the option to walk to places. In the suburbs, perhaps not as much.
There's almost always surge when it rains.
It's like the rain paints our map red (with surge).
I bet the colorful surge map matches very well the weather map. :)
well, I frankly don't like wet shoes and boots, but yeah...you do make more money.
I love when it rains because I look for people standing by a huge collection of water and then I splash them . Lol
