Uber, Lyft drivers would need lit signs under Jersey City rule
Will this really help in eliminating fake drivers? I would think criminals would simply premeditate their attacks and can just … -
What's the grossest thing you have found in a Lyft or Uber?

Do passengers know that Uber often takes half the fare?
Sadly, the drivers are starting to accept this fact as a daily occurrence, but I feel the need to share … -
Why do Uber and Lyft drivers become so angry when riders don't tip?
I am actually a driver myself. I agreed to all the rates and how much I get paid when I …
You are thinking of TLC - Taxi & Limo Commission of big cities like New York and Chicago.
TNC was purposefully defined to mean cars other than TLC cars.
We will need a creative routing to get to our jobs now. Always gotta clip those surge areas...
I can see this squashing the passenger scam where they try to walk out of surge zones.
Wow, no kidding. I guess that makes sense. Can't record kids, huh
How do you not have a dashcam?!! :) Very important. It keeps riders in check and if anything happened you have proof. I have a 360 degree one basically has two cameras, one for the cabin and another for the road. Super easy to to install. Use suction to attach to the windshield, and USB cable for power
It's legal, because it is your car.
We haven't had to put those mustaches up since like 2014. I wouldnt even know where to get one anymore
Mine? In the dumps. These hairy things get nasty quick.
Oh I might have another. It's a smaller 8 inch one they sent me for being an ambassador. I don't think Rd meant to be attached to the hood though.
Honor system!!! And I love it! I am not the type to cherry pick but this is nice knowing where I will be next. We are people with plans, you know. No more fumbling with trip preference and "on the way home" features. Let us decide for ourselves.
We have all been there. At the end of a shift, or when you feel like making a few bucks because of a downtime, you want to go online but aren't sure you would end up on the other side of town. This solves that's and it'll make me work more for sure.
I made $440 last week on Lyft and $80 came from tips. Thank you very much. That's almost 20%.
That is awesome. Where are you from?
This is definitely a form of theft. It isn't the driver's legal obligation to deliver the phone, but he has to make a reasonable attempt to get the item back to its rightful owner. If he doesn't want to deliver the item, he should at least drop it off at a Uber office or the police.
From your question, I can tell there have been some communications back-and-forth. Just provide your demand, whether it's a financial reward or instructions to return it to the police. Make sure to record everything, including all the messages and the driver info.
Sorry you are dealing with this.
Why wouldn't they like it? Make those jerks click on the "No tip" and suffer through the guilt.
How else are we supposed to wait for our fares?
Crap. the secret is out.
Why do we even have to make excuses? we have GPS these days. Just point the finger at the GPS, and be done.
Always cash.
I actually feel there's a movement of Uber passengers that go out of their way to pay by cash. I feel like that's increased, even though it's been a while since Uber introduced the tipping feature.
I welcome it but I'm curious as to why.
Is it in hopes of getting a better rating? Is it because they think Uber will take a cut? (Which they don't)
Pure damage control mode. Total denial of the problem. She never tried to fix the problem, did she? It was all about the perception to the investors and the market.
How dare they try to squash this.
Try signing up for Lyft as well. Opens up opportunities and cn hit different customer demographics, say like school kids and younger generations.
At least there are no traffic mid -day. life style A+. i do suggest you try driving just a few early mornings and weekends. Just to compare.
We signed up for the program to make the entire fare minus commissions. This does not follow that at all.
We chase surges for when the demand is high. Per capitalism. and we get paid when the consumers agree to pay more for the services rendered. Why should Uber get paid that uptick and not the drivers?
I mean, we are already masters at driving with our knees, so what's another tray
Boloco is like Chipotle, right? In that case, a steak burrito will do. $8 tip...which I guess is pretty generous. No tip at the trip needed in that case.
One item from the menu, ,of course. Softshell taco at Taco Bell. Cheeseburger from McDonalds. That's just common courtesy.
I joke, but more often than not, when people ask me to stop by, people do ask if they can get me something. No, I don't think it's because they are uncomfortable. I think the are genuine. and we all enjoy having a snack together.
Several times already. It's in fact more memorable times of my driving job.
Oh, don't get me wrong. I don't provide any water either.
I actually tried it for a few weeks. I can't remember if it increased tip or not, but when I did the math, each bottle was like like $0.25, which cut into the profit especially when there are multiple passengers on a single ride.
I had one family of tourist who took like five bottles. Not cool. (though, their fare was like $45, so I guess that's okay.)
I also faced the logistics of my long 14 hour shift, where I realized I couldn't keep them cold. A big box of water bottles, heating up in the back trunk. NO one wanted it.
It's these "reality" things that people don't notice. It ain't easy.
