  Does Uber or Lyft reward highly-rated passengers (5-star riders) with discounts or other privileges?

  Someone told me Lyft does, but I am not seeing anything on their site about it.

  Yeah, everyone keeps throwing out the word, "liability," like kids didn't exist before. There are plenty of services that handle sand care for kids. Daycare, airlines, etc.

  Great idea. 

  We can also have "requirements" in there too. 

  - Need a carseat

  - Have a pet

  - Have a wheelchair, etc.

   6 years ago in  As an Uber/Lyft driver, what have you been accused of by riders?

  I don't understand.  What kind of "safety" complaints can you get on a rider feedback?    Is it like, "My driver didn't wait until I buckled my seatbelt before he started to drive"? 

  ...or, maybe "He drove dangerously, weaving back and forth out of lanes"?

   6 years ago in  So terrible. Passenger rapes female Uber driver.

  So many people are vying for female rideshares, but I hear they are struggling, due to driver recruitment.  There are legal complexities where hiring only women become questionable in terms of its legality.   I also hear the concern where criminals may potentially use these "Uber for female" services to target female drivers or passengers, simply by requesting it.

   6 years ago in  What is the "cleaning fees" and "vomit" SCAM by Uber drivers? Should I be concerned? How do I avoid them?

  That sucks that the drivers are starving and turning to these scams.  I also feel very bad for Uber that they have to deal with these.  It's so difficult to solve these and to weed out the true requests vs. false ones.

  Maybe the riders should get to decide, call it UberGreen. That way, the fare can be higher and the users get to decide how environmentally friendly they like to be.

  All Access plan!  and it locks into Lyft.  Uber better be careful

  "Lyft will send out invites to select passengers to join a new waitlist for the next wave of “All-Access Plans” the company is testing, a spokesperson said. Those interested in joining the plan would pay $200 upfront for $15 off 30 rides. So any ride $15 or less is free, and for rides over $15, passengers pay the difference."

   6 years ago in  Has anyone used Uber's Family Profiles? Sounds like my children can take Ubers now?

  As the guru puts it, I think it's purely for sharing a payment method.  Basically for famly members who don't have their own credit cards.  

  I too was excited when I saw this first.  I thought this would let me dispatch a car easier to my elderly parents, but nope.

  All tips are appreciated. If you’re low on money, a dollar is fine, except for longer rides. In that case, the tip should be at least 15% of the fare.

  Are you saying because people will use it more?  Like switch from public transportation  

  Once people driven cars are replaced, we will be fine.  No more accidents. No more awkward drivers riding brakes. No more cars parked on the side of the road (which frees up a lane).  There are factors that will mitigate traffic. I have faith this will eventually solve traffic problems.

  There's been recent controversy about how riders often scam drivers by saying the dogs are service animals. it's a contentious topic indeed.

  Don't get me started on those emotional support animals.  it's nuts.

  There are sickos out there. It may not be real poison but...you know. Something sick. Like rubbing the candy somewhere and watching you eat it. Sickos get off that stuff.  So I heard. LOL

  Even with a UberPool and you are the only person, you will still pay the quoted price and is cheaper than it would be if it weren't an UberPool.  So that's good.

   6 years ago in  Uber fare different for same location, same route, same time, and no surge.

  Is this anything to do with the upfront pricing?  How Uber charges whatever they think they can charge?   Maybe it's a surge based on demand.  Maybe Uber knows you are wealthier than your friend so they decided to charge you more.

  I am serious.  This is a thing everyone is talking about.  Uber charges whatever people are willing to pay.
